Paper Prototypes
To help me visualise my games I will be making paper prototypes. These will be both to document gameplay as well as being used to create UI mockups.
Idea #1 - Sea Monster Exploration
To help visualise the transition between environments and the way the character changes throughout the game I created a quick sketch of the game environment. I split this with five "barriers" that represent the cutscenes I intend to have between each stage. I then created a series of different fish to show the development of the character.

I then put these fish in the environment and created a stop motion animation displaying the basic gameplay flow of starting at point A and going on the journey to point B. I also used this prototype as a way of setting out what environments I wanted to have. Starting in shallow waters, moving down to the seafloor, passing through magma deposits, before finally getting to the dark abyss.
