Presentation

Our fourth and final presentation was our first presentation as a group. We were able to summarise our game into key elements and present them to the class for feedback.

We once again received some very helpful feedback in Nodenogg.in. During our presentation we posed the question of whether or not people believed our game should be more exploration or action based. This is a topic we were unsure about when deciding the key features, and we have decided to go with exploration after a unanimous vote. Lots of people also liked our ideas for a low poly art style. We did also showcase a watercolour art style, but we will not be going forward with it due to the lengthy process it would take to make for each asset. Finally, we were recommended a number of different animals for our mountain segment of the game and are now considering having mountain goats as the playable animals, with wolves as the predator.

I am very pleased with the fact that people like the game concept, and I especially am pleased that people see our vision for the game to have distinct and interesting environments. Our next steps will be to refine some of the smaller details, such as the art style and the animals for the mountain segment, before the start of development in Semester 2.
